Modern vs. Classic context menu

Open Settings and go to Context Menu+ to switch between the Windows 11 modern context menu and the classic (full) context menu behavior for File Explorer.

Decluttering the menu

In the Modern and Classic sections of the settings page, you can disable individual context menu handlers — both from other apps and from Productivity Plus Pack's own Paste as / New++ / Commands entries — to keep only what you actually use. Explorer needs to restart for changes to take effect.

Adding your own custom commands

Create custom commands with a name, icon, and the command line to run. Commands support variables like the selected file's path, run elevated (as admin) if needed, run once for all selected items or once per item, and can be limited to the desktop, folders, or specific file extensions.

Prompting for input

A custom command can ask you for input before it runs — for example, a dropdown of choices — and substitute your answer into the command line.

Running commands with a hotkey

Press Ctrl+Win+Alt+G while Explorer or the desktop is focused, then a number key (1-9), to run one of your custom commands without opening the context menu at all.
